What began as a mission to reimagine screen time for young children two years ago has evolved into a purposeful movement—one that is now receiving global recognition. 

We’re thrilled to share that Troo (formerly Yeti My Friend) has been selected as a Finalist at The EdTech Awards 2025 in two distinguished categories:

The EdTech Awards, now in its 15th year, are among the world’s largest and most respected programs recognizing exceptional achievements in education technology. This year’s theme, Navigating a New Era of Learning, couldn’t be more fitting. In a world where AI is transforming classrooms and the way children learn, this honor reaffirms that Troo is not only relevant but also essential.

Being named a finalist, for the second year in a row, is more than just a milestone. It’s validation from a global community of educators, technologists, and changemakers who envision the future of learning as inclusive, child-centered, and driven by innovation.

The EdTech Awards don’t simply spotlight products. They celebrate visionaries who challenge the status quo, harness the power of AI in education, and create inclusive, accessible tools for today’s learners. To be recognized alongside such leaders is a humbling reminder of why we embarked on this journey: to ensure screen time is nurturing, not numbing.

The Onward & Upward Journey: 

2024 was a milestone year for Troo (formerly Yeti My Friend), marked by the successful launch of our first school pilots, an expanding parent community, and over 300 families joining our Early Access Program. We were also honored to receive several prestigious accolades, including the Parents’ Picks Awards 2023, Mom’s Choice Awards 2023, National Parenting Product Awards 2024, an Honorable Mention at Fast Company’s 2024 World Changing Ideas Awards, and two nominations at the EdTech Awards 2024 as a Cool Tool and Trendsetter Finalist. Additionally, we were proud to be part of the AI-first Google for Startups Cloud program.

In 2025, our journey continued to soar, with partnerships with excellent schools that allowed more young learners to experience our apps. We also had the opportunity to connect with families at exciting in-person events in California, Bengaluru, and most recently at the Liberty Science Center in New Jersey. The future looks bright as we continue to innovate, inspire, and grow!
